The Beginning

One box. One bedroom. One idea.

It was the middle of the pandemic and I had $500, no mentor, and no playbook. I started XVXII from my bedroom — selling Indian jhumkas I sourced and packed myself, posting everything on TikTok because that's where I could reach people for free.

I wasn't a jewellery designer. I wasn't even sure it would work. But I knew I had been selling things since I was seven — garam masala popcorn to classmates, handmade bookmarks for a dollar — and I wasn't going to let fear be the reason I didn't try.

The Hustle

$10,000 on the first day. Then we kept going.

I started posting on TikTok in September 2020 with no strategy — just a product, a phone, and honesty about the process. People responded. Within months XVXII had 26,000 followers and was ready for something bigger.

Our first pop-up at Paya Lebar Quarter made $10,000 on day one. I was studying a Cyber Security degree at the same time. I was working part-time jobs to fund stock. None of it was glamorous. All of it was necessary.

The Flagship

Three storeys. One mission. Still building.

XVXII now holds a three-storey flagship on Haji Lane in Singapore — a retail store, a charm bar where customers build their own pieces, and a workshop space for monthly events. What started as a bedroom operation is now a real place people come to.

We're still founder-led. Every decision still goes through one person accountable to the brand. The product hasn't changed — waterproof, tarnish-free, designed for real life. The scale has.
